Our goal is to make this directory as simple to navigate and utilize as possible. Depending on whether you are offering forestry services or require them, please refer to the steps outlined under the 'Contractors' and 'Woodlot Owners' tabs to put this tool to work for you.

Please follow these simple steps to put our resource to work for you:
1. Create an Account
To log into our system you will first need to create your own account with unique login information. To do this, click the 'Sign Up!' button in the login box in the top left corner of the homepage. You will be asked to enter a username and password, as well as a valid email address. The system will then send a message to your email inbox with a confirmation link. Click on this link to finish creating your new account, and sign in using your new username and password.
2. Create a Profile
Next, click on the 'Create a Service Provider Profile' link that appears at the top of the page. Here you will enter your company name, location, contact details, a brief description of your company, and any relevant certifications.
3. Edit Profile
Click on your new profile to select which services your company offers. Check as many as are applicable.
4. Edit Services
Click on the individual services you have added to edit them. For each one you can select the size of work your company is able to complete and the counties in which you can offer that service. You can also select whether the service is manual or mechanical (if applicable).
Note: You can edit the information in your profile at any time.
Optional
If you have more than one company, or are inputting a company into this directory for someone else, click 'Create a Service Provider Profile' again to add additional profiles. By clicking 'Manage Contractors' at the top of the page, you can view and edit all contractor profiles you have created in your account.
Additionally, if you are a woodlot owner and wish to add your woodlot jobs to the database you can do so by clicking the 'Create a Woodlot Owner Profile' link at the top of the page and follow similar instructions to setting up your contractor profile.
There are two ways in which woodlot owners can make use of this directory. The first is simply by using the 'Browse' and 'Search' functions. Browse, which is located on the left side of the webpage, can be used to search for contractors providing the service you require. When you click on the service, contractors offering it will be listed on the right by their home county. You can view them all or select by county. Clicking on the contractor will take you to their profile.
If you do not want to search by service, you can use the 'Search' box in the top right corner of the page to search the entire site by keyword.
The second way to use this directory is to create your own woodlot profile listing the jobs you need completed. This way, the system is able to match up woodlot jobs with available contractors in your area offering the services you need. Follow these simple steps to create your own free profile:
1. Create an Account

2. Create a Profile
Next, click on the 'Create a Woodlot Owner Profile' link that appears at the top of the page. Here you will enter a profile name (which will not be visible to the public), location, contact details, whether you prefer manual or mechanical (or both) services on your woodlot, and a brief description of your woodlots (optional).
3. Add Jobs
Click 'Add Job' to the right of your new profile. Here, you will be asked to enter the location of the woodlot you need work done on.
4. Add Services
Click on your woodlot to add which service(s) is/are required on it. If you do not know what a particular service is, you can refer to the 'Glossary' tab under the Home link. As you click on the services, you will be asked to select when you require the service (immediately, annually, occasionally) and whether you prefer manual or mechanical work (if applicable). If you have more than one job, repeat steps 3 and 4.
Note: You can edit the information in your profile at any time.

By clicking on the question header, the portion of the web page containing the answer will be shown.
There are a few ways to navigate through the database.
This is a map feature called clustering. When numerous markers appear on the map and they are too close together they are clustered. Click on the circle and you will zoom in to see individual markers.
Once you have signed up and verified your email address by clicking on the link in the email that the server sent you it's time to start creating profiles.
Fill in your username and password and click the login button.
The login panel will change once you have logged in and it provides links that are similar to the admin panel.
Logout - it is always best to log out after an editing session.
If you access the site from a public computer, please protect your data by logging out when done.
Click on the button that shows the ## of profiles defined.
Choose the pencil icon to edit or the X icon to delete the profile.
Contractors can add pictures to their profile, Woodlot owners cannot.
Pictures can only be added after you create a profile, not while you are creating the profile. To add pictures to the profile you need to edit the profile.
If you chose the circled link you wil see something like this.
Choose EDIT it looks like a pencil.
Or if you chose 'Manage Contractors, you will see something like this.
Click on the link that says Edit
You can edit any information int the form that appears, but for the purpose of adding pictures choose the link at the very top.
This will open up a dialog to upload images.
Note:You do not have to click save in the update profile form if you are just uploading pictures but you will have to save it for all other edits.
Make sure that you wait for the image to upload completely.
You can upload images up to 4MB and they must be jpg format.
Once you upload each image an click 'Create' you will be returned to the profile update page.
Creating an account is just the first step to advertising your services in the directory. Your information won't show up on the site until you have created a profile and specified which services you offer, and where. To do this, just follow the steps in the 'Help' section under 'Contractors'.
Yes, you can update any part of your profile at any time.
Yes, you can have multiple profiles in your account. You can create both contractor and woodlot owner profiles and manage the information in each seperately.
